I thought it might be useful to look at common inter-row and intra-row spacing and do some calculations.   The highlighted blue numbers are for the more common espacements.   The red figures are for spacing between rows (INTER-ROW) and the purple horizontal figures are for spacing between trees in the row (INTRA-ROW).  Here are the results:











For other tree espacements  just use the formula provided.

trees /  hectare =   100 / I  x ((100 / i ) + 1)   where I is the inter-row spacing in metres and i the intra-row spacing in metres.
